I lost my husband to alcoholism over a year ago. I think I was able to deal with the first year so we'll just because of everything that had to be done. Now that I've gone through everything and remodeled the house I'm alone with my thoughts. I find myself grieving for the man that I know he wanted to be and then trying to rationalize why I'm still grieving for the man who hurt me so much with his drinking. Instead of facing his demons he chose to drink to try to hide from them. The only problem is that when he drank he became a totally different person who was mean and hateful. How can I grieve for the man I loved that did everything he could to break me?
