I feel like almost every night before I sleep my heart shatters due to the loss of the love of my life, the father of my child, and my best friend. Will I ever be okay? Or will I have to learn to be okay with not being okay?

No one can promise you that you will be OK. Only you can make sure that happens. Your growth is within your control. . Grief is not something that happens to you , it is a process that we have to navigate. Read all you can, talk with support people, join a group and cry when you have to. It releases tension. But, you have to honor the memory of the one you lost by doing something positive with your life. Since your will not even get him back, you will build a new normal. Make him a part of that normal. Think of him and talk to him and rejoice in the good memories of him. You are just starting out and it is all very raw. My heart goes out to you. I wold not want to live that first year over again. I pray your journey is a peaceful one.

I'm sorry for your loss. Its hard moving on without part of your heart. I'm goin through the same thing. Nights are the hardest because I keep thinking he's suppose to be here with me. It's been 4 months and I'm crying and missing him more and more with each passing day. We have 2 small kids. They talk about him everyday. I cry for me and them. I feel like I'm mourning for them and myself. I pray you get stronger with each challenging day.

Thank you. I’m sorry for your loss. His passing really broke me apart. I understand you I feel so alone sometimes because he’s not here with me. I just really miss him. I’ll keep you and your children in my prayers. May better days come our way.

You're welcome. Thank you. I'm sure losing a part of you did break you. Hold on to the memories. You'll see him in your child and hold him in your heart always. Praying for you to have strength to get through.
