Wednesday ART THERAPY

I feel that The Divine put your lovely message and exquisite photograph in my Inbox this am.
I say this, because just this morning, while visiting my family in Northern California, I remarked to my son on the incredible beauty of the gingko trees which were resplendent in gold finery before they will soon drop all their leaves at once.

Georgine thank you for the kind words. And the image of the gingko trees. How nice to spend time with your son. I miss the fall walks with my husband as we crunched through the falling leaves. I comfort myself now with the happy memories.

Thank you for your kind words @Ceee, I hope you are keeping well. I haven't been much on the site lately, a difficult month November, four years since that day when my life turned upside down.

I thought I'd post some Autumn colour pictures I've taken in my front yard.
One is an Asiatic jasmine climbing plant and the other one is similar to a viburnum but it doesn't produce flowers.

I hope you and everyone here has a peaceful Thanksgiving day.

This is how i feel some days. Standing alone and isolated in the cold

Helena, beautiful imagry! It captures the loss we all feel. Getting together with family and friends and reminicing about better times always helps. My brother in law (My deceased wifes younger brother) and his family have been a godsend. Also, I have found a new church community (where I participated in a Grief group) that has just been awesome. If you are a member of a faith community, I cannot urge you enough to seek out assistance through them. It is a wonderful way to heal.

 

I sent this out on May Day to remember when as children we made little baskets and filled them with goodies and notes and hung them on the doors of friends hoping they didn't see us and know who the basket was from.

This basket of HUGS is from me and to all who on this journey.
