Those old TV commercials from my
childhood still stick in my head, like
    Alka Seltzer, Schaefer beer,etc

Before commercials became all pseudo-hip and annoying!

Looking forward to a New Year without Tom is a daunting thought. It is not a choice but a necessity that I begin to look ahead to the life I want to lead. Strength comes and goes but it is coming more often as the days go by. There are so many things to do. It is just so difficult to do them alone. Decisions need to be made and I just need to make them to the best of my ability. Tom would want me to be happy and live my life to the fullest. We had many discussions. He was such a special man. He had morals and ethics and an amazing sense of right and wrong. He was loved by all of our friends. One time he went with six women to the beach. We rented a house. He went with us shopping laughing as we handed him bags to hold. Watched us play games and he laughed right along with us. So much fun everyone still talks about his ability to be with us and among us with such open happiness. Such great memories.

I am sending wishes for a positive, healthy, and special New Year to everyone.

You just did. You got a rise out of me. I'm enjoying all the nicknames you boys come up with so clever and funny. Ho Hum!

Patti, thank you. I think you were one of the first who welcomed me two years ago alone with Robin and I think her name was Susan who is no longer here. So nice to see you here and hope you visit often. As you have read the boys here are coming up with silly, fun and funny nicknames. It just warms my heart and makes my day a little brighter with smiles. Take care, keep upright. Karen, Ms Hum.

I love you, too, Ms. H. I remember
when I was oversensitive when you
noticed my typos! Seems so long ago.
Where are all the other Grief Warriors,
right now? It felt like we were having a
duel! Lobsterino is calm now, sipping
    hot herbal tea......

I am just catching up on the new warriors posts. Been out of it with the holidaze and trying to get through with family as best I can. Been emotional to say the least.

Warriors may be back tonight. But, it's fun to have a duel.

I am not coping so well tonight. I just got back from leaving my car to be fixed after a car accident. Long story short, someone turned left in front of me on a green light with no turn signal and no turn arrow in the signal. I just am overwhelmed with anxiety and tired of doing this all on my own. But it’s the only choice I have. Oh, how I miss my husband.

Participate when spirit moves. I knew
you were involved with daughter &
family over Christmas. with all its'
memories of Jack. I have no family, but
am blessed with friends, both on and off
GIC. Lou ( just Lou, for old time's
    sake).......

Deborah, I’m so sorry to hear about your accident. It is overwhelming and so full of anxiety, doing everything alone. But we’re all learning we do what we have to and learn we’re stronger then we ever thought I know I’m learning that and most things I’m pushing through I learned from Ron. Using what our soul mates taught us, honors them and that feels good even though it’s sad to do these things alone. Having this happen during holidays sure adds extra emotions. It’s hard but you’re doing it. It’s sure a bumpy road we’re on. We’ll get through, like you mentioned, it’s the only choice. Robin

Thank you Patti, I’m just now catching up. I pray you had a blessed Christmas and wishing each of us a better, stronger, peaceful, healthy New Year. My Christmas was a little harder then I hoped but I’m pushing on as best I can. Although Bill isn’t able to be on GIC right now, he’s thankful and I shared with him that people here are praying for him. He said it means the world to him. Robin
