Talking with people here just feels right. Everyone understands. That understanding feels like a warm hug. Less lonely. We’re just not used to being one we’re used to being two as one.

Same with me George, two years and nine months, but it feels like it's just happened!
Hang in there, like REM sing "Everybody Hurts", hold on, we're all holding on with you.

Sorry George , I got confused, I'm still half asleep. It was sudden death for me, but you meant it wasn't for you, and you had to watch your poor wife leaving you gradually, and there was nothing anybody could do. My heart aches for you, imagining the ordeal you went through. Either way, the pain we're left with is unbearable. The shock and unexpectedness are still with me, still can't accept it but I can't imagine how devastating it must be watching the love of your life slowly going away, day by day, I really feel for you, and at such a young age, too. I understand also the sadness now that your son has moved away leaving you alone. I spend most of Saturdays and Sundays completely alone at home, especially now in Summer, my kids are always out and about. I'm happy for them, of course, they deserve to enjoy themselves after what they've been through, but as you know, our grief for our soulmates is different to theirs for their dad/mum. We don't talk much, they are afraid of bringing up the subject and "starting me off" again, and I don't want to burden them with my sorrows, so we just don't talk, we always mention and remember my C, what he would be saying, what he would be thinking, what he would have done, remembering happy times together, but we can't talk about how we're feeling.
Evening meals for me now are just a sandwich in front of another Netflix movie.

We care George, you are not alone.

    Rose

Thank you Kelso, I know you miss your Terry so much, you were part of each other, you still are. I miss my C more and more every day, I feel him, he's still a part of me.
