It kind of reminds me of the attorneys representing Philip Morris in the lawsuits regarding cigarette smoking. The lawyers confidently said there is no proof that cigarette smoking is harmful to your health. The lawyers also said there are no additives in cigarettes that make them addictive. WTF! Really? You nailed B It’s all about the money.

    Lou,

Thank you for sharing the very beautiful lyrics to Cycles... I need a tissue... Very emotional afternoon. It's going to be an escape from reality, tune into Netflix, kind of evening. I know I'll be okay, just as I said to Helena, the only thing I know for sure is that things are always subject to change. However, right now, I'm missing Bob more than ever. It SUCKS!!!

As always, sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

    Bernadine,

Sadly, it seems like just about everything in this way too impersonal world we live in, is about money. It SUCKS!!! that a pharmaceutical has figured out a way to make major bucks by exploiting those of us who are suffering through the very worst kind of pain imaginable. Better get off of my soapbox before I really begin to get going...

Sending you and Maggie lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

Deb, I'm pleased that you liked the words
to Cycles, as did Gary & others. I'm so
sorry you had such a miserable day. I hope
you can relax & sleep well tonight. It's
such a cliche, but tomorrow is another
day. Thank you for comforting other GW,
    as always. God Bless. Lou

    George, hope you're feeling better
physically after your stomach issue. I
thought of you this am, Friday , April
Fools Day. I saw a weather report that
Chicago was facing this day with more
very cold temps. We've been teased in
Ma., as has Robin, in Long Island, NY,
with mild 50s sunny weather one day,
    & cold , 20s, & gray. the next. This
is not conducive to trying to work
through grief. I wish for all TGW better
    spring days ahead. Brother Lou

Man I just can't believe this cold. I am not doin OK and that's OK cuz I have ad such a traumatic experience. Definitely Grief is harder at the 1 year + level! I just gets me through the day. Stomach does seem better at least! Hope to some kinda semblance of normal like 6 weeks ago!

Thanks for texting back, George. We are
    having "intermittent" rain, dark clouds,
& sun today. Like you & other GW, my
mood improves with sunny, milder temps.
Mr. Grief. SUCKS BIG TIME!!!, as our good
    friend, "The Deb" says. Lou

It got sunny here and around upper forties. Chill wind. Had to do a lot of serious crap lately and UI feel like I'm failing at being a grown-up these 6-8 last weeks or so. Not a lot of energy for anything. The cool cloudy wet weather has not helped to!

I know the feeling, George. Where I live
is not as bad as where you live, but it has
felt like an endless cold winter, which adds
to our depression & ongoing struggle with
grief. Despite a light rain, I took an
umbrella & walked. It will help me to
    sleep better tonight. Lou

Gosh, hearing all about weather in the mid and east coast I have to say I appreciate California's weather. But, the drought continues and I'm worried about fires again. No where is perfect. Spring will arrive over there, it's just hard waiting especially having one's soulmate gone to spend dreary days together.

You're right, Karen. No place has perfect
weather, but, if I had money, I'd spend
winters in Florida & summers here. I know people who do that, & they have the best of
both worlds. In the meantime, I want to be
grateful for what I have, to be able to see
the ocean in all seasons. Lou

I do envy your beautiful area, you are very fortunate. I can just smell that ocean air right now and in our hot summers I would wish to be there.

Karen, I hope your next place will be
closer to the sea, or, a calming lake,
    or river. Lou

Me too, but I do love where I live in the mountains. But, time for a change and with prices all around the US who knows what I can afford. It's still hard to search out a state that may be more economical with the way things are going. Everyone is leaving Calif and it's jacking up prices in other states. Oh well, only the shadow knows.

Good old line about the Shadow. The
    mountains are beautiful, too. Haven't
heard from Debra lately. She wanted to
move out of Ca. Will you get together with
Nancy soon? Haven't seen her on here
    either. Lou

That's great, Karen, about your contact
with Nancy. I'm like a wolf ( as Gary once
said) who looks after his pack. I prefer
the kindly elephant, who "never forgets".

I read that article of few days ago and I thought it was ridiculous. I just past the 5th month mark and there is 0 chance I will be "okay" by a year. Thank you for adding Dr. Wolfelt's thoughts, don't remember reading that before.

Hope everyone one is having a good day.

Always good to see you on here, younger
brother! When Deb talked about that
creepy NY Times article, I didn't go
near it. I get great comfort from Dr.
    Wolfelt's daily quotations from Center
for Loss. We need positive feedback for
our grief. We never "get over" it, but
somehow plow THROUGH it to live and
even to try to enjoy life, as both Tom Zuba
    and Jonathan Santlofer write. Lou
