I lost my husband January 27th. He fell out of bed and I couldn't get him up. His cousin came over and we got him in a chair and was waiting for the ambulance. Got to local hospital they said he had a mild stroke. We were talking to each other like normal. The hospital transfered him to a hospital in St. Louis that had a stroke unit. By the time I got to St. Louis he was in a coma and on a machine. He has a high grade heart murmur and it wasn't pumping enough blood to his liver (which was already damage as this has been going on for sometime we just didn't know it) and the liver slowly died. His kidneys had shut down and this also caused a brain bleed which caused his stroke. I was so shocked and devastated just could not believe it. I though I would get to St Louis and be seeing him in a room as we talked before he left for St. Louis. I am so lost. He was able to retire at 57 and just retired 6 months ago. We had so many plans for our new place. So hard to be here alone without him.

I am so sorry to read about your loss so sudden and tragic. I lost my wife of 14 years suddenly on 12/24/18 she was 43 and we also had our lives ahead. I am with our two little buddies Evil Sunny and Larry in the house we lived together in. I am still adjusting to her not being home and taking in what the has taken place. Have you thought about therapy or support groups? I have been doing both they can help as the need for acceptance and being able to relate to others in this awful journey. My thoughts and prayers are here for you.

Thank you! I am very sorry to hear about your wife. I live in a rural area there are no support groups. I do talk to the Pastor tho and he does help me. Yes I live with our 2 fur babies Heidi and Bertha. Heidi is a St Banard mix weighs 106 and Bertha is our cat. This is my second go around. But this time is so much harder for some reason. I don't know how to explain it. Thank you for the much needed prayers. I too will prasy for you.
