    Louster,

You're making me blush, but only in the very best of ways, lol... Thank you so much for sharing your friend's (near death experience) words of wisdom, your words of wisdom... You've taught me so much about life..., about myself..., and for your very kind words.

Now it's my turn to say, Thank you!!!

As always, sending you lots of love and hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

    Louster,

Missed this when I visited earlier today. As always, although this has grown way past stale!!!, TUTTAM!!!, I'm blaming it on a combo of foggy widow brain, and staying up way too late, binge watching what has to be one of my all time favorite Netflix series.

Enjoying an over the top lazy day..., going to make another cup of herbal tea, tune out of reality, and back into Netflix ...

As you so perfectly said, "God bless all of us Grief Warriors!!!, TUTTAM!!! (with my contribution for a bit of added emphasis)

As always, sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. Debster

Thanks, Debster, also known by George,
as The Deb! Better late than never. Enjoy
your evening. I'm tired & hungry. I plan
to go to bed early tonight, bc there will
be a Halloween celebration on the
Neck, our promenade of shops. Kids
will trick or treat the stores, and there
will be a band playing music for
    everyone, both tourists & locals.
    Last Halloween, many wore costumes.
I'm not , but a friend will. I know you
said you want to relax over the holiday,
and I understand that ,too. Louster

We have gone through the darkest of times and are still trying too heal. The past couple weeks I too feel like I am emerging as a new person. I can visualize for the first time life w/o Valerie but with me being kind to my new and old self...
BTW I just went through what would have been our 34th anniversary...
    Thanks The DEB.

George, I'm proud of you for your new
outlook on life, especially after the sad
34th wedding anniversary of you and
Valerie. As The DEB so eloquently and
movingly put it, we Grief Warriors are
    struggling every day without the
physical , comforting presence of our
long time soulmates, but we try to live in
the present, precious moment, as our
loved ones wanted for us. I pray for all of
us that, as Debster said, we have
    more laughter than tears. Louster

TGW, including me, George, don't think of
you having a "weirdo" brain, but a
    creative one! El Lobster

Deb, your messages not only make sense, they are honest and astute and so very kind.
I am always pleased when you show up and bomb us with your love and rawness before heading back to your life for a while, what a treat when you stop by. And a great model of balance and self awareness. ~B & MJDB (maggie joy doodle butt… just for you)

    George,

Reading this has me teary eyed, but, and this is another one of those really BIG!!! BUTS!!!, only in the very best of ways!!!, TUTTAM!!! This is the best news I've heard in way too long a time!!! I got some bad news this afternoon, during a consultation with an oral surgeon. I really needed to hear something uplifting. The timing of your post is absolutely perfect!!! Giving you the BIGGEST cyber hug ever... Thank you for making my night lots brighter.

As always sending you lots of love and (more) hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

    Louster,

You're making me blush again, lol... I'm with you, praying that TGW, our entire GIC "family," finds themselves smiling more, and crying less.

Too toasted, but NOT!!! in the way you're probably thinking, to "talk" much more tonight, so before I start rambling on and on and on, stopping here.

As always, sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. Debster

    Bernadine,

Thank you for your over the top kind words... This is the one place I'm totally comfortable being myself, and it's because of you, and the rest of TGW, who have been with me through so much of this miserable journey (for lack of a better word). Although I haven't been around as much, you and the rest of TGW are always in my thoughts and daily prayers... Without all of you, I doubt I would be at the place I'm at now. I'm so grateful to you, to all TGW... I need a tissue, but only in the very best of ways...

I'm still amazed that a group of strangers, from all over the US, and from outside the US too, were able to come together, and in the process of helping each other struggle through the very darkest days of our lives, have formed such a strong bond with each other, became friends..., friends, who I sincerely miss when I'm not hanging out here.

Too frazzled to "talk" much more, but I couldn't go back into MIA mode without stopping by to "visit" with you.

With lots of hugs and love to you and MJDB, (lol!!!), and as always, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

La Rose, haven't heard from you for a
while, but I know you're there reading
our posts, bc you attach a LIKE to them.
I appreciate it when you do it for me. I
also like it when Deb joins us from time to
time. GIC is very important to me, and I
start off the day with it , with my morning
coffee. Later in the morning, I receive
my daily email of a quotation from Center
for Loss, which I think about in my grief
journey. I've been doing this for over a
year, so I'm getting repeats, but that's OK,
bc I was in a sad "foggy widower's brain",
when I first read them.I miss your stories
of your life in Italy. I'm trying not to be
depressed with the changing of the
seasons here. It is dark when I wake up &
dark , too early. at dinnertime. I miss the
summer, when there was a lot of light,
activity, and people. I know it's different
for you, bc your summers are unbearably
hot & humid. My town turns into a
ghost town in winter, when the tourists
leave ( though some come for Christmas).
Thank God, I can hop on a bus and go to
a small city, with restaurants , museums,
and places to walk. I know it's impossible
for you to laugh at comedies. My suggestion ( which worked for me), is to
"fake" a smile when you run into people
( even strangers who work in a store).
When someone smiled back at me, it
felt good. Even small talk about the
weather, or other things, took me out of
    myself. Lou
