My family and I were on vacation in Kansas over thanksgiving. A couple days before we were slated to fly home Kansas had a whiteout blizzard. My sister would literally do anything for anyone including giving the shirt off her back. My sister was scheduled to work Sunday during the blizzard and was on her way to work but called in a few miles from her house saying she was turning around and not going to make it. That was the last time anyone heard from her. She had slid her car into a ditch and wandered away from her car. She had walked about 5 miles before passing away about 3 miles from her car. She was only 37. My sister and I were adopted into a wonderful loving family. I feel like I'm not really moving forward and I'm just stuck in sadness as she is my older and only biological sister. I feel lost as we had started talking 2-3 times a week after her husband passed away 5 months earlier.

Sorry to hear about your sister. Sudden losses seem especially hard. I lost my mother suddenly in May and I am still trying to deal with it.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. I can’t even imagine your grief. I had to finally buy a book called afterlife and heaven to get some peace with death. I
Lost my husband unexpectedly in May to a tragic accident. It is a good book and I know our loved ones are in heaven. No doubt in my mind. A new beginning for them. Wishing you peace.
